Dražen Grubišić, born in Zagreb in 1969, is an accomplished artist and art manager. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and pursued a post-graduate course in arts management at the IKM Institute in Vienna. Since 1989, he has exhibited his work extensively in solo and group exhibitions, both in Croatia and internationally.
Notable achievements include receiving awards such as the Rectors Award, the Grand Prix of the Zagreb Youth Salon, the Golden Arena for Best Set Design, and the Kenneth Hudson Award. Additionally, he has been involved in interior design projects for the hospitality sector for over 30 years. Since 2006, he has been the driving force behind the "Museum of Broken Relationships" project.
The blue wave
Inspiration for this artwork comes from the inimitable dynamics of the continuous movement of the water. The focus is on the sea rhythm and the motion of the waves.
The artwork, visualising a sense of constant movement and dynamics, has been carefully designed and placed in the long corridor of the hotel. In this area, the guest gets a special feeling and an overall impression of the movement.
